Hello and welcome to February’s challenge.
Each month I will be sharing a new post with a different theme and a challenge for you to go out and complete, should you wish to do so. The idea is to share some of your favourite images from the challenge on the chat page of my substack. Please feel free to post your images and comment on others so that we can build a supportive community around our shared love of photography.
This month the theme is lines.
When we start our photography journey we read all the compositional rules and quickly come across the phrase leading lines. These are lines that run through the frame usually towards the main subject. Their primary goal is to create a visual pathway through the image.
We have all heard of leading lines, but in this challenge I want to talk about other types of lines as well which are found in the landscape and smaller details of the natural world.
