For the last few weeks we have been focusing on contrasts and how these can enhance our photography. But what happens in summer when the skies are blue, the light is harsh and sunrise feels like it is half way through the night? Can we make good landscape images when the contrasts seem to be conspiring against us.
Ever since I began my photography journey I have read articles that tell me to avoid shooting in the middle of the day when the sun is high and the light is harsh. In summer this seems to cut out the majority of the day so I thought this week I would discuss my approach to photography when the light is harsh and the skies are blue.
