Hello and welcome to April’s challenge.
Each month I will be sharing a new post with a different theme and a challenge for you to go out and complete, should you wish to do so. The idea is to share some of your favourite images from the challenge on the chat page of my substack. Please feel free to post your images and comment on others so that we can build a supportive community around our shared love of photography.
This month, with spring well and truly underway, the theme is colour.
Colour is one of the things I love about the landscape and it plays a huge part in my photography. It may feel like something we react to in the landscape rather than control, but how we use it is very important. The colour of the light and the combinations of colours we choose in our compositions can all make a huge difference to the mood and feel of an image. We need to be aware of these things when composing because I think colour combinations contribute greatly to the success or failure of an image.
